AIM High Merit Scholarships Through UofI
Starting with our 2019 incoming class, UofI will cover tuition and fees for up to four years for all qualified in-state students.

The Illinois Commitment program will cover tuition and mandatory fees for up to four years for all Illinois residents whose families make at or below the median income for the state (≤$61,000) with assets less than $50,000. I think this announcement is a game changer for us and will be one of the most significant steps to promote socioeconomic mobility, equity, and access in our state. Starting today, we will roll out a major media campaign to promote this new program throughout the state. Please check out our FAQ for more detailed information about the program.

AIM High Merit Scholarships
The Illinois State Legislature approved $25 million of merit-based scholarships. We are excited to participate in this program, especially since it is aimed at encouraging high performing students to stay in state, and go to public colleges. As the details of this program are still being developed, I don’t have more to share with you today. More details soon to come!
It is also our intent to not increase tuition and fees for an unprecedented fifth year in a row. Our hope is by significantly increasing need and merit based scholarships, while maintaining our costs, that we can keep more students attending college in the state of Illinois.
As always, please feel free to call my direct line at 217-300-3957 or email me at ajb168@illinois.edu with any questions. I hope you have a great school year!

This is great news for our students that has been a long time coming!!!
