33rd annual Marion Chamber Golf Scramble held September 28
The Marion Chamber of Commerce held its 33rd annual Golf Scramble on Thursday, September 28 at Kokopelli.

The Marion Chamber of Commerce held its 33rd annual Golf Scramble on Thursday, September 28 at Kokopelli. 

There were two flights. First place gross was Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home (Hughes, Hays, Raski, Coon) with a 54 gross. First place net was Bank of Herrin (Gott, Hudson, Henson, Vercillino) with a 39 net. A Marion Chamber of Commerce representative will contact each winning team to present the trophies.  The event included a "Lucky Umbrella" drawing (for an umbrella filled with lottery tickets), prizes, and more!  Here are the winners:
  • Lucky Umbrella - Kelly Puello has claimed the Lucky Umbrella prize ($150 in lottery tickets). Congratulations!

  • Closest to the Pin - Ryan Hughes
  • Samsung 7.0 Tablet from Clearwave Communications - Melanie Colombo
The event also included chances to win Titleist Pro V1 Balls & Putter, Bushnell Golf GPS, $250 American Express Gift Card, and $25,000 toward a vehicle.

Brett Whitson was chosen for the chance to take the Clearwave Communications' Million Dollar Hole-in-One shot. Whitson, who did not make the shot, played on Life Line EMRS's team.
