The Marion Chamber held a Cash Mob from 10am-3:30 pm on Thursday, September 14 at Melise's. Chamber Members received 25-40% off merchandise during the Cash Mob.

The Marion Chamber of Commerce held a Cash Mob from 10am-3:30 pm on Thursday, September 14 at Melise's. Chamber Members recieved 25-40% off merchandise during th Cash Mob.

Every quarter, the Marion Chamber invites you to visit a Marion area retail shop armed with cash, a smile, and a love of Marion.

We call the shop ahead of time to let them know they have been chosen as that quarter's Cash Mob destination, but we won't let you know where the location is until the day before the Cash Mob.

The Marion Chamber Cash Mob is held the 2nd Thursday in March, June, September and December.

Here are the rules for the Marion Cash Mobs.

The mob location will be announced a day in advance via evite to the membership.
The date is a recurring one (2nd Thursday in March, June, September and December)
The business must be a Member of the Marion Chamber of Commerce.
The business is known to “give back” to the community.
The business owner must approve the Cash Mob before the mob is announced.
Pictures will be posted to the Website and on Facebook after the Cash Mob.

At the mob, there are three rules:

While everyone is encouraged to purchase items at the Cash Mob shop, they are not obligated to do so.
Bring business cards and meet three people you didn’t know before to network with;
Post selfies and pics of the location to help promote their atmosphere, specialties, etc.

Note: The Social Mob (formerly known as Business Happy Hour) is held on the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October. The Dish Mob is held on the second Thursday in February, May, August, and November. So, the 2nd Thursday of each month is now Marion Chamber Mob Day!
