December Monthly Membership Luncheon held
The Marion Chamber of Commerce Monthly Membership Luncheon was held on Tuesday, December 8 at noon at Kokopelli. 
 


The Marion Chamber of Commerce Monthly Membership Luncheon was held on Tuesday, December 8 at noon at Kokopelli. 

The Marion Jr. Jazz Choir, under the direction of Elizabeth Byassee Shore, and the Women's Ensemble under the direction of Joel Kirby, preformed several wonderful Christmas songs for members of the Chamber to enjoy.

The winners of the Board of Directors election were announced at the luncheon.18 people were on the ballot for 11 open seats on the Board. The term for the elected Board members will be February 2016 - January 2019. Those elected are:

  • Jessica Force with Williamson County Government
  • Michelle Hamilton with John A. Logan College
  • Shannon Johnson Williamson County Tourism Bureau

  • Keith Oates with Community Unit #2 Schools in Marion
  • Jennifer Olson with Farmers State Bank
  • Rich Richert with Flanders Electric
The new Executive Board was also announced at the December Monthly Membership Luncheon. Those serving on the Executive Board for 2016 are:
  • Immediate Past Chair - Ashley Gott with Bank of Herrin
  • Chair - Doug Kimmel with Williamson County Regional Airport
  • 1st Vice Chair - Kenya Garner with State Farm Insurance
  • 2nd Vice Chair - Janet Jensen with Withers Broadcasting
  • Secretary - Gail Barger with Priority Staffing Group Ltd
  • Treasurer - Kimberly Walker with Kemper CPA Group LLP
