Pepsi MidAmerica holds building dedication ceremony honoring John Rains
On October 17, Pepsi MidAmerica dedicated their Human Resources building in honor of John Rains.

On October 17, Pepsi MidAmerica dedicated their Human Resources building in honor of John Rains. John began at Pepsi MidAmerica in June 1973 while still attending Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He graduated later that fall with a degree in accounting and finance. His first position at Pepsi-Cola was Payroll Clerk. From this position, John quickly advanced to other positions within the company including Office Manager, Area Manager, Division General Manager, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of Operations. Today, John holds the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager.

Over his career of 41 years, John has been an important part of the management team that has helped Pepsi MidAmerica grow to become one of the largest independently owned Pepsi-Cola franchises in the country. He is respected by employees and peers alike for his character and moral leadership.

John has held numerous board positions in organizations within the soft drink industry and locally he serves as a Trustee on the Board of Directors at Heartland Regional Medical Center and is a Board Member of Old National Bank. He and his wife Linda reside in Marion. They have three children and eight grandchildren. The entire Pepsi MidAmerica family appreciates the many years of service and dedication John has given during his career.
