30th annual Marion Chamber Golf Scramble a SUCCESS! The 30th annual Marion Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble was held on Thursday, September 25 at Kokopelli. The Marion Chamber of Commerce held its 30th annual Golf Scramble on Thursday, September 25, beginning with registration and lunch, which were held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. At 12:45 p.m., one name was drawn to get a chance to try for a hole-in-one on Hole #18 to win ONE MILLION DOLLARS at the Williamson County Tourism Bureau's Million Dollar Hole-in-One Competition. The golfer who was chosen to take the shot was Suzanne Wood with Egyptian Board of Realtors. While she didn't make a hole-in-one, she did hit a great shot! The Golf Scramble began with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. 126 golfers registered to participate in this year's event. The teams included:
Dinner was served from 6-8 p.m. and included a buffet of chicken, beef, sides and a roll. The trophies and prizes were awarded during the dinner. The team that won with a low net score of 47 was Midland States Bank. Players on that team were Kevin Wilson, Tom Spitz, Kevin Bragee and Rob Wielt. The team that won with a low gross score of 50 was Ike Family Dealerships. Players on that team were Brian Eigenrauch, Jonathon James, Aaron Coon and Jordan Lewis.
