Event Description
Saluki Stadium is the focal point of the eclipse observation event, and the public is invited to be on hand for a unique guided eclipse experience. Matt Kaplan of Planetary Radio will serve as host and guide as guests witness this historic eclipse. In addition, SIU will provide a variety of fun, educational and scientific activities developed in conjunction with its partners. Visitors also will be able to tap into live coverage of the eclipse from across America through the eyes of the NASA EDGE Megacast, which will be seen by millions worldwide and anchored from just outside Saluki Stadium. Everyone will be provided eclipse safety glasses. The stadium restrooms will be open, and eclipse merchandise and concessions will be available.
