Affordable Gas & Electric (AGE) is a state licensed consultant whose aim is to help commercial clients secure the lowest market based rates for their electric and natural gas supply procurements within the deregulated utilities in Illinois (Ameren Illinois and ComEd).

In 2013, AGE partnered with the Marion Chamber of Commerce and 9 other Chamber of Commerce organizations throughout Southern Illinois to form the Southern Illinois Chamber of Commerce Energy Buying Group. The Buying Group aims to pool together various businesses across the region to collectively shop for lower electric and natural gas supply rates in the market. By combining clients all across the Southern Illinois region, AGE is able to offer customers the same buying power as the big box chains and large industrial consumers in the state.

Following the overwhelming success of the initial rollout of the Southern Illinois Chamber of Commerce Energy Buying Group, AGE has since added an additional 8 chamber organizations to the overall group. The Buying Group now represents over 750 businesses across 18 Chamber of Commerce organizations. The strength of the Buying Group has led AGE to be recognized as one of the largest licensed consultants within the deregulated utilities in the entire state of Illinois.

We would like to thank all of the Chamber’s members who are currently enrolled in the Southern Illinois Chamber of Commerce Energy Buying Group for entrusting AGE to work on your behalf to ensure the best market rates for the long term price protection. If you would like further information on joining the Buying Group please contact your Chamber of Commerce or AGE’s Energy Consultant Bruce Wallace at 618-924-4849 or bruce.w@agellc.com.
