On Thursday, March 23 at 4:30 pm at the Franklin-Williamson Child Advocacy Center (501 South 14th Street, Herrin) there will be a presentation of 120 “Blue Kids” in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Gabriel Ballard, a local Boy Scout began working on this a year ago as his Eagle Scout Project.  He developed the template for the cut-outs, solicited for donations and enlisted the help of his local high school and other scouts to make it happen. These “Blue Kids” will sponsored by local businesses for display throughout Franklin and Williamson counties for the month of April in order to support the FWCAC and raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention month.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend Thursday to learn more about Gabriel’s project and the mission of the FWCAC.
