The average office environment now houses up to four generations under one roof. Efforts to address challenges in the multi-generational workforce may inadvertently rely on age-based sterotypes, or alienate older workers, leading to increases in dissatisfaction and age discrimination claims. Unlike other forms of social bias, some forms of ageism are socially acceptable, making preventing and overcoming it all the more challenging.
