The community theatre company, Paradise Alley Players, announces open auditions for The BFG (Big Friendly Giant), July, 25 & 26 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Marion.

The community theatre company, Paradise Alley Players, announces open auditions for The BFG (Big Friendly Giant), July, 25 & 26 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Marion.
The BFG is the story of a little girl called Sophie who one night is snatched by a Giant – luckily that Giant is the Big Friendly Giant who collects dreams rather than eating people. The story follows their unlikely friendship and their plot to stop the foulsome giants who also live in Giant Country.
Two nights are available for auditions and there are no fees associated with auditioning. Boys and girls age 8-20 will be needed. All should come prepared to read lines from the script or with their own monologue.
Children performing will develop and enhance acting skills, learn confidence, practice lines and memorization, understand rehearsals and theatre language, and most of all have fun.
The BFG was chosen for this year’s children’s play, which will have special showings for area schools on October 13 & 14. It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to the world of theatre. It’s performed by kids for kids. In addition a public show will also be available for family, friends and community members on October 15. So, please come out and support these talented kids.
The play is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
