FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tino Wallenda to speak at Zion United Church of Christ from the High Wire,
arriving just in time to kick off the 2016 Vacation Bible School.

Tino Wallenda, of “The Flying Wallendas” will deliver this message, “Walking the Straight and Narrow,” Lessons in Faith from the High Wire! Monday evening, June 6 at 6:30 PM.  In addition to being a part of the Wallenda family, Tino regularly speaks at faith communities and correctional facilities sharing his unique insights into faith, focus and dedication.  Zion United Church of Christ is excited to have Tino with us and would love to invite you to join us.  Mark your calendars now.  Special music will also be featured with Zion’s Bell Choir and Chancel Choir performing well-known favorites, “He’s got the Whole World in his Hands, and “Give me that Old Time Religion.”  A love offering will be collected to help Tino to continue to share his story and powerful message especially with those who are incarcerated.  On Monday, June 6 Tino will be delivering his message from the High Wire in the Church’s Sanctuary.  After this special program please join Tino in the Church’s dining room for refreshments and an opportunity to visit with Tino and each other.  Tino will also be available for photographs and to sign his memoire.

The Discovery Channel astutely describes Tino this way, “In the rarified world of aerialists, Tino Wallenda is royalty.”  Throughout their history, The Wallenda troupe has always walked the wire without a net, a tradition that has been immortalized by thrill and marred by tragedy.  Their security is in God, so they continue to perform as their ancestors have for centuries – high above their audiences with nothing between the wire and the floor except their faith.

Tickets will be necessary, and can be picked up at no charge from the Church office
Wednesday, June 1 – Friday June 3 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM each day.
